APPIS — Academic People & Performance Intelligence System
ADD Hotel School · Intelligence Ecosystem
APPIS SYSTEM

Streamline Processes. Enhance Performance. Empower Education.

The people, teacher-quality, workforce-performance and institutional-accountability layer of the school's intelligence ecosystem — bringing the complete teacher journey into one connected model, so quality can be seen, supported and evidenced, not assumed.

The one question APPIS exists to answer

Are our educators equipped, supported and performing well enough to deliver the student transformation promised by HDPT?

01 — Definition

A connected operating system, not another isolated file

Teacher information usually exists — but it is scattered across spreadsheets, folders, forms and memory. APPIS connects operational records, academic evidence, development, risk and executive reporting into one reliable view.

What it is not

  • A teacher database
  • An HR file
  • An attendance tracker
  • An appraisal form
  • A standalone dashboard
  • A payroll system

What it is

  • A practical teacher-intelligence capability
  • One connected view of quality & accountability
  • The people-performance layer of the ecosystem
  • A record of the full teacher lifecycle
  • Evidence for fairness, support & development
  • A link between teacher quality and student outcomes
02 — Where APPIS sits

Four connected parts, one shared purpose

APPIS is not an isolated HR or IT application. It is the people-performance layer that helps explain the quality of student outcomes — technically integrated with SGIS inside a single Airtable base.

How the data lives: One integrated APPIS Airtable base holds the workforce and teacher tables, SGIS student-growth tables, HDPT curriculum & evidence tables, and executive dashboards. SGIS stays technically inside APPIS while keeping its own clearly named tables and logic.

03 — Core purpose

Built for visibility and fairness — never control

The framework is explicit: APPIS is designed to give leadership reliable, current information and to make evaluation fair. It should never become a surveillance or punishment system.

i.

Visibility

Reliable, current information on profiles, attendance, workload, quality, development, compliance, performance, risk, recognition and talent.

ii.

Evidence

A multi-evidence view — observations, attendance, delivery, student feedback, conduct — so evaluation never rests on one opinion.

iii.

Development

Turning evaluation into a cycle: evidence → feedback → development need → coaching → action plan → follow-up → re-evaluation.

iv.

Accountability

Clear ownership of documents, attendance, observations, plans, risk actions, reviews and approvals — with fairness at the centre.

04 — The teacher lifecycle

One record, the whole journey

APPIS follows the complete teacher lifecycle from recruitment to promotion. Select a stage to see what the system tracks and preserves at each point.

05 — Eight capability areas

What APPIS actually does

The framework groups APPIS into eight capabilities. Each carries a clear value for leadership — and none of them reduces a teacher to a single score.

06 — Beyond a single score

The complete teacher intelligence profile

A weak system compresses a teacher into one number. APPIS keeps the differences visible — strong observations with weak attendance, or moderate performance with strong improvement — rather than hiding them.

Teacher profile+ role & workload+ attendance+ observations+ academic delivery+ development+ compliance+ risk+ recognition+ student impact = complete teacher intelligence profile

The Teacher Performance Index is one output of this profile, not the whole system. The framework deliberately does not fix its formula or weighting — the scoring model should not be invented until management approves the evidence sources and their weights.

07 — APPIS & SGIS

SGIS measures the student. APPIS helps explain why.

SGIS records what is happening to students. APPIS holds the teacher and institutional evidence that may influence those results — as context for investigation and improvement, never as automatic blame.

08 — The CEO dashboard

Only decision-level information

The dashboard should not show everything — it should show what leadership needs to decide. It is built to answer seven questions. Select any to see its indicators.

09 — Role-based access

Never too open, never too controlling

APPIS holds confidential academic, HR, attendance, performance and salary information. Access is scoped by role — each sees what it needs, and no more.

10 — Recognition

A growth system, not a punishment system

Recognition logic is required by the framework. It keeps APPIS motivating — evidencing strong work as clearly as it flags risk. Discretionary awards are allowed, but the reason must be documented.

Teacher of the Month

Strong performance & attendance, no active Red risk, positive evidence.

Perfect Attendance

Attendance & punctuality above approved thresholds; no unresolved conduct.

Student Impact

Strong student growth, successful intervention, hotel-readiness contribution.

Innovation

Approved improvement project, new practice, resource or curriculum work.

§

CEO Recognition

Discretionary leadership recognition — with a documented reason.

11 — Phase 1 pilot scope

Focused enough to prove value, without overbuilding

The first APPIS version concentrates on seven areas — enough to demonstrate the model end to end before expanding.

The improvement cycle APPIS is built to serve

Stronger teacher quality supports student growth, which supports hotel readiness, which supports employability. APPIS provides the evidence — investigation and improvement, never unsupported causal judgment.
